Lineups between Tunisia and Australia
A positive for Australia after the defeat by France was that they didn’t pick up any new injuries, nor did the defenders Harry Souttar and Kye Rowles complete the full 90 minutes.
With a star in attacking midfield Ajdin Hrustic With he set to return to the starting XI after the game is suspended, any other changes coach Graham Arnold makes would be tactical.
With Hrustic likely to be back, word has it Riley McGree expected to return to the bench unless there is a formation or tactical change. Cam Devlins Work pace and tenacity might also set him apart as a surprise starter.
We could see in defense Fran Karacic and Bailey Wright stopped by for Nathaniel Atkinson and Rowles, both of whom survived difficult matches. Still, they faced some high-profile competition, so Arnold might give them another chance.
Expected Australia line-up (4-1-4-1, right to left): 1st Ryan (GK) – 3rd Atkinson, 19th Souttar, 8th Wright, 16th Behich – 13th Mooy – 7th Leckie, 22nd Irvine, 10th Hrustic, 13th Goodwin – 15th Duke
Ellyes Skhiri He may need to wear a protective face mask again as the midfielder, with 48 caps, continues to recover from a broken cheekbone.
Coach Jalel Kadri is unlikely to make many changes. “We’re in a strong group and we have a point,” he said after the draw against Denmark. “It will give us energy for the next game.”
Tunisia projected lineup (3-4-2-1, from right to left): 16 Dahmen (GK) — 6 Bronn, 4 Meriah, 3 Talbi — 20 Drager, 17 Skhiri, 14 Laidouni, 18 Abdi — 25 Ben Slimane, 7 Msakni — 19 Jebali
Tunisia vs Australia Odds
Kadri is determined to oversee qualifying for Tunisia, who were more convincing than Australia in their opening game and are clear favorites to win this match according to bookies, without being sure of an odds price.
With a goal between them so far, fewer than three goals are also favored but the chances of more goals could be attractive as both nations are likely to be more open in what both could see as the most winning game of the group stage.
