“Professor Klay is in the building”: NBA Twitter pokes fun at Warriors Guard’s latest avatar ahead of Clippers game

Klay Thompson came off an offensive clinic in Golden State’s first win over the Rockets, silencing anyone who doubted his prime was over. It’s been a rollercoaster ride for the four-time champion, unable to clear the gridiron and post his consecutive serious injuries.

Upon his return at halftime last season, Klay had missed 941 days of NBA action. Nonetheless, the 6-foot-6-inch guard wrote the ideal return as the Warriors won their fourth title that same year. While the five-time All-Star had his notable moments, there was a visible drop in his numbers.

However, Klay’s falling numbers have been overlooked given his two-and-a-half-year absence. With Dub Nation going into celebration mode for the offseason, it was expected that the Warriors guard would return to their best. Unfortunately this took longer than expected.

Klay would silence all his critics and naysayers at the perfect time, picking up 41 points and going 10-13 from beyond in GSW’s first win on the road this season. Hoping the marksman gods would continue to shine for him, the 32-year-old lined up on two wheels for the game against the Clippers at the Chase Center.

NBA Twitter reacts to Klay Thompson’s bike post.

Klay Thompson wants to make it big when the Warriors host Clippers.

Building on the success of his performance against the Rockets, Klay hopes to extend the run as Dub Nation host Ty Lue and his crew to improve his season averages of 17.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists, as well as his shooting efficiency to improve 37.7%.

With superstar duo Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, the Warriors appear to be the favourites. Fans at the Chase Center are wishing for the Splash Brother to break away from the 3-point line in what could be a close battle between the California teams.
