KSL Sports Rewind: 6A Football Award Nominees

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah state high school football season is over and KSL Sports Rewind needs your help to distribute the 6A awards.

Dusty Litster and Dane Stewart announced the nominees for 6A Offensive MVP, Defensive MVP, Most Unheralded and Coach of the Year. Make sure to cast your vote for each of the awards in the social media polls below. You can also comment on the posts to write in your votes.

Each week, Jeremiah Jensen, Stevenson Sylvester and Mariluz Cook broadcast a high school football game from across the state of Utah.

Jeremiah Jensen is an Emmy Award-winning sports anchor and reporter who has covered sports in Utah for KSL since October 2005.

A native of Star Valley, Wyoming, Jensen has a passion for covering the sports teams he grew up with. In 2011, he won a regional Emmy and UBEE award for Best Sports Story. His work has also been recognized by the Utah Society of Professional Journalists.

Sylvester is a former Utah Utes standout linebacker who played college football from 2006-2009. He was a member of the Utah team that defeated Alabama in the 2008 Sugar Bowl. Sylvester was selected in the fifth round by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2010 NFL Draft. He then played five seasons in the NFL, including four with the Steelers and one with the Buffalo Bills.
