IFMI: How to buy the right connected fleet technology

As fleet managers continue to struggle with the barriers of connectivity and the complexities of connected fleet technology, it seems fitting that this is the theme for the next IFMI Connected VEx (Virtual Experience) event on Thursday 1st December 2022.

For 18 years, the International Fleet Managers Institute (IFMI) has organized and hosted seminars and webinars to support its members, all international fleet managers, to address the issues facing our industry today. It has also helped to understand their evolving role alongside their peers so they don’t feel isolated in their mission. The IFMI deliberately follows an educational, non-commercial approach and creates an environment that supports meaningful discussions, with interactive workshops and shared best practice examples.

Advancing fleets with connected technology

Fleet connectivity is a challenge that is both annoying and essential if fleets are to move forward, internationalize fleet and mobility and achieve benefits such as increased efficiency, safety and utilization. We need connected technology to provide real-time data and valuable insights into how the fleet is performing and what aspects of its operations can be optimized to enable better functioning.

On December 1st we will be unpacking the topic of buying connected fleet technology including:

  • Where and how to start
  • From RFI to RFQ – and how to get the most benefit.
  • Calculating ROI: a deep dive into the hard and soft elements.
  • Dealing with GDPR and data protection.

The availability of telematics and connected technology is good, but finding the right technology and making the most of it is not as common. In this seminar, we’ll hear from experts (those who’ve lived the word, so to speak) as they address many of the pain points for fleet managers, so you’re informed and can move forward in an informed manner. By the end of this session you will know how to buy the connected fleet technology that suits you and your drivers’ purposes.

The Connected Fleets Manager of the Year shares his experiences

We are exceptionally fortunate to have Selecta’s Eddy Scheerlink as moderator, who was awarded the prestigious Connected Fleets Manager of the Year title at the Fleet Europe Summit, 16-17 November 2022 in Dublin. Eddy will share his experience of introducing a group-wide telematics program at Selecta to improve safety and driver behavior.

We’re doubly lucky because other speakers are:

  • Yves Helven, CEO, OviDrive
  • Alan Johnson, Global Bid Manager, Mix Telematics
  • Harold Horn, Associate Vice President, NCEE Solutions and Operations, Geotab
  • Rémi Brébant, Product Manager, Arval Connect

IFMI Connected is organized in partnership with industry experts. Registration is free and available virtually live. The event utilizes a streamlined platform that showcases the experts through a main stage while also allowing for networking, a sponsors area, direct messaging, live video calling and a matchmaking tool. Please register and we’ll see you there.
