BVCA Noticeboards

The BVCA have 7 community notice boards across the village that have been donated by local Councils and businesses including Buckshaw Village Surgery, RMG, Chorley BC, South Ribble BC, Redrow/Barratt Homes, Tesco etc.

The notice boards have been installed to provide residents with general information pertaining to the local area including information about BVCA activities and events, PACT meetings, local Councillors as well as other community groups and local businesses. To enquire about placing a business advert in the notice boards please contact us here. There is also space for FREE community notices/event posters/flyers etc, please contact us here.

The BVCA demand a small charge for the notice boards, this revenue is used for the BVCA to help cover the cost to repair the notice boards and our other running costs. The notice boards also offer a limited number of free advertising spaces to community groups/events and these are currently allocated on a first-come-first-served basis for all. 6 of the 7 notice boards have space for advertising.

The notice board at Buckshaw Parkway station is reserved for the use of any community group within Buckshaw to display community information and interested groups are able to access the notice board by requesting the keys from the station ticket office. The agreement when the Buckshaw Parkway notice board was first erected (Dec 2011) is that 50% is for Buckshaw community information and 50% for community rail information; there is therefore no space for advertising.

The BVCA have a Policy for our notice boards and this can be viewed here.

I can’t get my flyer in the notice boards – how else can the BVCA help?

  • Anyone is welcome to register for our BVCA forum and post details of your business or upcoming event.
  • BVCA also offer village-wide leaflet drops on a regular basis (full details will be on our website soon), but again this is on a first-come first-served basis and there is generally an 8 week lead time so you’ll have to be very organised!!
  • If you are a community group or not-for-profit organisation you can place flyers/notices at the Buckshaw Community Centre on the internal notice board marked for ‘Other Community Groups’ use.
  • If it’s an event on Buckshaw that is for the benefit of the community, we’ll gladly post details on our BVCA latest news homepage – send details to
